Installation of Artificial Turf

For an impeccable construction of a court with artificial turf, there must be the appropriate infrastructure. The infrastructure of the court includes the leveling-modulation-cleaning of the court, the construction of a subsoil and pavement base from crushed material of variable thickness, thickened quarry material, to yield the projected slopes of its surface.

For the installation of the artificial turf it is necessary to construct a flexible sublayer, a layer, which is molded in situ or prefabricated. This elastic sublayer is made up of flexible SBR rubber granules attached to polyurethane. Finally, the synthetic turf is installed above it.

Work Analysis of Artificial Turf Installation

Thus the proposed infrastructure includes:

  • Excavation of the space at a depth of 30 cm
  • Coat with 15 cm crumb
  • Coating 10 cm 3A
  • At the top of open-type 5 cm cement.
  • Good lay, sloping, wetting and pushing infrastructure.

It is necessary to construct a single-layer elastic undercoat which will be molded in situ or prefabricated. The molded layer consists of SBR elastic bundles bonded together with polyurethane, which after being mixed in a special softener are coated with a finisher with a reciprocating heated plate.

Finally, the last generation of artificial turf is installed on an elastic sub coat.

Work analysis of artificial turf placement:

  • Coating the rolls of synthetic turf (4m), next to each other along the stadium.
  • Raise both sides of the rolls and place the polyester tape in the gap they create.
  • Apply to the top surface of the polyester adhesive tape using a spatula.
  • Apply the raised sides of the synthetic turf onto the polyester tape and the adhesive to be attached to it.
  • Bond with the rollers to get better bonding.
  • Then cut the pitch of the playing area and the areas of synthetic grass of the same quality in white or yellow tones. The placement of the markings is done in the same way as the rolls are glued as mentioned above.
  • Hairdressing of the court with a special machine with parallel filling with quartz sand.
